1. How long does it take for an eye examination? ?

Answer: If you are scheduled for a complete (dilated) eye exam, please plan to be in the office at least two hours. It would also help you to bring any sunglasses you may have because your pupils will be dilated for an extended period of time after the examination. We make every effort to stay on time for your appointment but please remember that emergencies always come first and we will do our best to keep on time. In order to do an examination of the retina and optic nerve, the doctors will use dilating drops during the exam to enlarge your pupils Although we provide shaded inserts for your glasses, you may find your own sunglasses much more comfortable to use after you examination.
