RETINAL DISEASE
The retina is the tissue lining the back of the eye that helps to transmit images to the brain. If your retina becomes damaged through injury, infection, or disease, you may experience flashes, floaters, or distortion of vision. You may also have vision loss.
Conditions that may require monitoring or treatment in the office include new flashes and floaters, macular degeneration, diabetes in the eye, retinal artery or vein diseases, medication screening, retinal tears, retinal and vitreous bleeding, pathologic myopia, vitreous detachments, and more.
We offer retinal imaging including optical coherence tomography (OCT), autofluorescence, angiography, and various types of ocular ultrasonography to aid in diagnosis. We also offer in-office intravitreal injections and retinal laser procedures for conditions requiring treatment.
Our medical retina specialist, Dr. Zaveri, strives to provide the care needed with compassion and the attention to detail required for retinal conditions.
